• NHS sight test (Free, 30 min · under 16, over 60, diabetes, glaucoma in the family, or on certain benefits): Sight test and eye health check. Add the 3D OCT scan for £35.
• Private eye test (£40, 45 min · everyone else): Forty-five minutes with your optometrist: twelve checks, a retinal photograph, and time to talk.
• Gold eye examination (£75, 45 min · over 40, screen workers, or anyone who wants the full picture): Everything in the private test, plus the 3D OCT scan of the layers behind the retina, where glaucoma and macular disease start.
• Contact lens fitting (£95, 30 min · new to lenses, or switching type): Fitting, trial lenses and teaching. Free trial lenses for first-timers.
• Emergency appointment (Free, 20 min · red, painful, or a sudden change): The same day wherever we can. Free if you’re registered with a local GP, through the NHS urgent eye care scheme; £60 if not.
