Glasses from any prescription · second opinions
If you had the test elsewhere, or bought glasses there that never felt right, bring the paperwork. We dispense from it properly, or check it first if you would like to be sure.
The problem
All of these are fixable, and none of them needs a new eye test to start.
Why us
Our team makes glasses from prescriptions written anywhere, every week, at all five practices.

“Choosing frames was a pleasure, not a chore.”Patient survey
Which is yours?
Perhaps the frames were expensive, perhaps you were rushed, perhaps you wanted to think. Your prescription is valid for two years. Bring it to any of our practices and our team goes through the lens options with you, measures you properly, and makes the glasses. No new test needed.
“No pressure to buy anything you did not want.”
Varifocals you cannot find the reading zone in, single-vision lenses that feel off, frames that slide or press. Bring the glasses and the prescription. We check the lenses against the prescription and the fitting against your face, free, ten minutes, and tell you what is wrong. Often it is adjustable.
“I was shown the scans and everything was clearly explained to me.”
Something was mentioned at your test, or the prescription changed more than you expected. The Gold examination, forty-five minutes with the 3D OCT scan, gives you a proper look and a proper explanation, for £95.
“The optician undertook a thorough examination and covered more areas than I expected.”
Dispensing from your own prescription costs what the frames and lenses cost, the same as if we had tested you. Frames £70 to £850, single vision lenses £109 to £499.
What happens
Nothing to prepare beyond the sheet of paper. We measure everything else here.
Two things at most
The sheet the optician gave you. They must give you one; it is the law.
So we can check the lenses against the prescription and the fit against your face.
Pupillary distance, fitting heights and frame measurements are all taken here, free.
Half an hour with the dispensing team
Lenses against prescription, fitting against face. Ten minutes, free, and you are told plainly what is wrong, if anything.
Frames that suit your face, lenses that suit your days, every option priced on paper before you decide. Sixty days to love them, or we change them.
When the glasses arrive they are fitted to you, adjusted, and checked against the prescription again.
Put up with glasses that feel wrong, and you live with headaches and squinting until your next test.
Bring them in, and in ten minutes you know what is wrong and how to put it right.

Normally for two years from the test date, one year if the optometrist wrote a shorter recall. The date is on the prescription. If it has expired we test you: £55, forty-five minutes.
We measure it here, free, in a minute. You do not need to ask the other optician for it.
Yes. Bring the glasses and the prescription. Often the lenses are fine and the fitting is wrong; sometimes the lenses do not match the prescription; occasionally the prescription itself needs a second look. We tell you which, and what it would cost to put right.
Yes, for £55, the same forty-five-minute test as anyone else. If the prescription was right, you will know; if it was not, you will have a correct one.
