Time
An eye test that takes forty-five minutes. Time for the optometrist to ask about your work, your screens, your driving and what has been bothering you, before anything is tested. The right advice depends on it.

The optometrist who tested your eyes last year, and the team who know your name. Continuity is how small changes get noticed, because someone is comparing this year with last.
Honest advice
Frames chosen for your face and your day, by a qualified dispensing optician, with every price shown before you decide. If your prescription has barely changed, we will tell you so and you keep the glasses you have.
Your own eyes, explained
Your scans and photographs on the screen in front of you, explained until they make sense. You should leave understanding your eyes better than when you arrived.

Is the eye test the same at every practice?
Yes. The same forty-five minutes, the same prices and the same training at all five.
Can I change practice?
Yes, any time. Your record goes with you, and you can book whichever practice suits you best.
Are you taking new patients?
Yes, at all five practices. Book online or call the practice: NHS eye tests are free if you qualify, and a private eye test is £55.
Where can I park?
Cheadle: Free parking on Wilmslow Road and behind the practice. Heald Green: Street parking on Finney Lane. Middleton: Long Street car park, two minutes on foot. Winsford: Delamere Street car park opposite. Heckmondwike: The Green car park, a short walk away.
When are you open?
Every practice is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Cheadle is also open on Saturdays, 9:00am to 3:00pm, from 24 October. Book online any time of day.
Do all five practices have a dry eye clinic?
Yes. Each practice can assess dry, gritty or watery eyes and set out a treatment plan with you.
Can I try frames from another practice?
Yes. Each practice has its own shelf. Tell us what you would like to see and we bring it to your nearest practice for you to try, with no obligation. Frame styling is by appointment.
