The Aviator, the Wayfarer, the original.
On the shelf in Winsford and Heckmondwike. Every frame glazed here with your lenses.

The house
Ray-Ban began in 1937 with the Aviator, designed for American pilots who needed a lens that cut glare at altitude. The Wayfarer followed in 1952 and became the most recognised frame ever made. Both are still in the range, alongside optical frames that use the same shapes. Ray-Ban is the frame people already know they like, which makes it the easiest first pair and the safest second one.
Known for
Made for pilots, worn by everyone since
The most recognised frame shape in the world
The classic shapes glazed with your lenses, including sunglasses
Almost everyone, which is the point. Wayfarers for a rounder face, Aviators for a squarer one, Clubmasters for anyone who wants something between the two.
A name on the frame does not mean it will suit your face. We bring you a shortlist rather than a wall, and we say gently when one does not work.
