The technology is over 100 years old albeit the machines that manufacture the lenses are a lot newer. Sensity™ lenses are special glasses that change color in sunlight. They get darker when you step outside into the sun. On bright days, they turn fully tinted, but on cloudy days, they don’t get as dark. How fast and dark they change can also depend on the weather, especially the temperature. Just remember, when you’re in a car, these lenses won’t get as dark as they do outside, unless you go for Hoya Sensity Dark.
