From Gatley you can choose either of two practices. Heald Green, on Finney Lane, is three minutes and the nearer of the two for most of the village. Cheadle, on Wilmslow Road, is five minutes and has the HD gland imaging for dry eye. The eye test, the prices and the training are the same at both, so choose by convenience.
What you get at either: forty-five minutes with the optometrist, the 3D OCT scan on the Gold examination, everything explained on the screen, and the same face next time. The £15 gland scan, included with a Gold eye examination, photographs the glands. The twenty-minute dry eye scan is done in the chair at both.
If you’re on the Kingsway side, Heald Green is easier. If you’re near Gatley station, either works: the 11 bus goes to both, and you can walk to Heald Green.
