Dita, and why the frames are more than plastic
Dita was founded in Los Angeles in 1995 by two friends who wanted eyewear made the way fine watches are made. Every frame is produced in Japan, where acetate is cut and hand-polished over weeks, titanium is machined to tolerances most makers never attempt, and the finishing is done by hand. A single frame can take months from block to box. That is why a Dita feels different on the face: the weight is where it should be, the hinges are silent, and nothing flexes that should not.
