Some people wear glasses. Some people collect them.
Most of the people who come to us privately live close by, in Cheadle, south Manchester, Stockport and across Cheshire. If you notice a hinge before a logo, know your frame size by heart, or have kept every pair you have ever loved, you are in good company here.
The frames you wear now, the makers you like, the model you are after, your prescription and the dates you are free. Or fill in our short brief.
Before you arrive at our Cheadle practice, your dispensing optician chooses frames for your face, your prescription and your taste, so the appointment starts with pieces worth trying.
We measure to the millimetre and tell you every measurement and why, name the exact lens, and adjust the finished pair on you. Then we look after them for as long as you wear them.
You do not have to choose from whatever happens to be in the drawer. Tell us the maker, the model, the size and the colour, and we will bring it in for you to try.
Some of the makers people who love eyewear ask about most. Tap any to add it to your brief.
Sourced for you on request. Dita is also on our shelves at Cheadle. Looking for a discontinued model, a colour code or a size that is hard to find? Tell us the details when you book, or bring a photo, and we will look.
Every frame on our shelves was chosen by us, by hand. Start with these, or with anything you would like us to source.
On our shelves at Cheadle.
Lens colour changes a frame more than anything else. Choose the colour, the strength and the finish, and we match it to the acetate or the metal, so the pair looks like nobody else’s.
Made with your prescription, single vision or varifocal, by our custom tint lab or by Hoya, Zeiss, Essilor, Shamir, Rodenstock and independent lens houses. Price on asking.
Ask us anything about how a frame is made or how it should fit. We are happy to talk acetate and hinges for as long as you like.
Your lenses are chosen for the frame as well as for your eyes: thin where a fine metal rim shows the edge, the right material for a drilled rimless, and centred exactly where you look. We fit lenses from Hoya, Zeiss, Essilor, Shamir, Rodenstock and independent lens houses.
Our promise: you will know exactly which lens you are getting, and every measurement we take and why.
The lens maker, the lens design and the coating, written down before you choose. Your pupil distances, fitting heights, frame wrap and tilt, explained as we take them and kept on file for you.
Answer as much or as little as you like. Nothing is sent from here: mention it when you book, or bring it to your appointment, and your dispensing optician will prepare your short list from it.
A beautiful frame deserves to be kept beautiful. Your aftercare is part of the service, every time you visit.
Sixty days from collection: if the fit or style of the frame is uncomfortable, or the lenses aren’t right, choose an alternative frame or lenses at no charge.
The frame is the part people see. Your eye test decides how well the lenses work in it. Forty-five minutes with the optometrist, explained on screen, with time to talk.
