The house

Kate Spade, and why the frames are more than plastic

Kate Spade started in New York in 1993 with six handbags and a belief that things should be joyful. The eyewear is exactly that: cat-eye and round shapes, polka dots, glitter temples, stripes and colour, on frames that are light to wear and easy to love.

Known for

Three things to know about Kate Spade

  1. 01

    Joyful colour

    Dots, stripes, glitter, pastels

  2. 02

    Feminine shapes

Cat-eyes and rounds that lift the face

  3. 03

    Easy to wear

    Light acetate, sensible prices

Who they suit

Someone who wants their glasses to be cheerful. The cat-eyes suit a rounder face; the rounds suit angular features.

A name on the frame does not mean it will suit your face. We bring you a shortlist rather than a wall, and we say gently when one does not work.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I try Kate Spade glasses on near me?

At Abra & Co in Winsford. Book an eye test online or ring the practice, and we will have the collection ready for you. If there is a particular model you want, tell us and we will bring it in.

Can I have my prescription in Kate Spade frames?

Yes, including varifocals and high prescriptions. We measure and fit the lenses here. Single vision lenses run from £109 to £499, and every option is shown with its price before you decide.

Do you sell Kate Spade sunglasses?

Yes, and we glaze them with your prescription, including tinted and polarised lenses. Ask when you book and we will have the sunglass collection out for you.

What if Kate Spade does not suit my face?

Then we will say so, kindly, and show you what does. A name on the frame does not mean it will suit you; that is the first thing we say about every brand. And if you buy and change your mind within sixty days, we change the frame or the lenses at no charge.

How much do Kate Spade glasses cost?

Frames across our ranges run from £70 to £850; Kate Spade sits towards the upper part of that. Lenses are priced separately and shown before you decide. Pay half today and spread the rest over 4, 6, 8 or 10 months, interest free, with nothing added.
