I grew up in Mirfield and went to Heckmondwike Grammar. Armitage Opticians was the very practice my family trusted with my own eyes — so when the opportunity came to take it on, it became our very first Abra & Co location. I still love seeing patients who were once my teachers.
The name Abra & Co comes from my wife — my partner in life and in business, and now our company’s director. It’s a daily reminder to treat every patient with the same care and attention we’d want for our own families.

A private eye test is £49 and includes everything — retinal imaging, pressure checks, macular health, and tailored advice. It’s a full clinical experience. NHS tests are also available if you’re eligible.
