Your first visit

Know what is wrong, and leave with a plan.

  2. We measure your tears and check your lid edges. With the full assessment (£225) we also photograph your oil glands and show you them on the screen.
  3. You get a written plan, with prices. You take it home. If your eyes are healthy, we say so plainly.

Before you book

Which should I book first?

If you would like to know exactly what is wrong before you choose a treatment, book the dry eye assessment (£145, or £225 with gland photographs). If your eyes feel gritty or tired and you want the glands cleared, you can book EyeClean (£480) straight away: your optometrist checks your eyes at the start of the first visit and tells you before anything starts if it is not right for you. Not sure? Talk to an optometrist free first, by phone or in practice: whichever suits you.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. Book online or ring us on 01924 403617.

Is dry eye treatment available on the NHS?

No. An NHS sight test checks your vision and eye health; it does not include gland photographs or dry eye treatment. Every price is on this page before you book.

Do you do IPL in Heckmondwike?

IPL comes to Heckmondwike from November. Ask us and we will tell you the dates. In the meantime EyeClean clears blocked glands without IPL.

I am already under the hospital eye clinic. Can I still come?
